Overview

The nspollrawsdata program polls station data from CDEC/NOAA RAWS station data.

Command Line Usage

The command line syntax is:

nspollrawsdata [options] -s#[,#,...]

Command line parameters are:

Parameter Description Default
-s Station ids to poll. Required.
-d # Debug display level. 0.
-f Do NOT file interrogation results in database. Required.
-force Force polling to override time limits. False.
-help Display help.
-q Do not display activity messages. False.
-t # Station polling type:
0=current reading
1=last sampled
2=last logged
3=logged ata since last poll
4=logged data between start and stop times

-ts MM/DD/YY-HH:MM:SS Request data starting at this time. 2 hours before the current time.
-te MM/DD/YY-HH:MM:SS Request data ending at this time. Current time.
-version Display program version.

Scheduling

This routine is called through a scheduled process using autointer.

NovaStar Administrator Interface

Three steps must be taken to add RAWS data to a NovaStar System.

  1. Create a RAWS Point Type. PointType
  2. Create a RAWS Weather Station Type. PointType
  3. Create a RAWS Weather Station and add points to the point list. PointType PointType

Troubleshooting

Log files are written to /usr/ns/log/nspollrawsdata.log as well as /usr/ns/log/nsautointer.log. Verify a lock file doesn't exist in /usr/ns/locks.
